Free tools: scope and conditions of use
The free Seetalabs® tools support technical screening and preparation. Each tool covers a defined question, using the inputs, methods and versions identified on its page. A result is not an instruction to operate equipment, a certificate of compliance or a substitute for professional review.
Before using a result
Check the equipment type, insulating fluid, units, sampling conditions, measurement limits and the edition of the method selected. Read the tool's assumptions, warnings and exclusions. Missing or uncertain inputs can prevent a conclusion. A worked example demonstrates a calculation; it does not validate your equipment or installation.
Keep the input file, result, tool version and calculation date when you retain a result for review. Recheck the applicable sources before relying on an older export.
Engineering and safety decisions
A qualified person responsible for the equipment must review the results alongside inspection findings, operating history, manufacturer instructions and applicable requirements. Do not use a calculator alone to decide switching, loading, maintenance, fire protection or return to service. Follow your site's safety procedures for urgent or hazardous conditions.
An estimated condition, ageing scenario or maintenance cost is not a prediction of the date of failure, a guarantee of remaining service life or a supplier quotation.
Regulatory and CBAM calculations
PCB and CBAM outputs are screening calculations, not legal or tax advice. The applicable legislation, official publications and decisions of the competent authority take precedence. A calculated value or exported file does not constitute an official filing, verification or approval. Confirm jurisdiction, reporting period, data sources and any need for an accredited verifier before submission.
Data and external services
The calculators process the values entered in the browser. Their hosting web pages still require network access and may be subject to the site's separate Privacy Policy. Do not read browser-side calculation as a promise that visiting the website produces no network traffic.
Site Climate & Loading uses NASA POWER for weather data when a site is selected. Its interface identifies this request. Check that behaviour before entering sensitive location information. Other tool-specific data behaviour is described on the relevant landing page. Files you choose to export remain under your control; share them only with authorised recipients.
Standards and ownership
References to IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, FM Global or legislation identify the sources used by a method. They do not imply endorsement, certification or affiliation. The tools do not replace access to the applicable standards, and access to a tool does not grant rights to reproduce third-party material.
Errors and questions
If a result appears inconsistent, stop relying on it and contact Seetalabs®. Include the tool name, version, steps and a non-confidential example. Do not send customer records, credentials or sensitive installation details through the contact form.
