This Privacy Policy describes how personal data of visitors and users is processed across the digital services operated by the Controller under the Seetalabs brand. This information is provided pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018), and the relevant guidelines issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
This Privacy Policy applies to the seetalabs.com domain and to all services delivered through its subdomains, including the RONIN AI operational platform accessible at ai.seetalabs.com. A single framework governs the processing of personal data across the entire Seetalabs digital environment, regardless of the specific subdomain through which data is collected. Supplementary information concerning technical processing activities carried out on the RONIN AI operational platform, together with contractual roles and retention periods defined under the Seetalabs Customer Agreement, is made available within the platform itself and integrates, without replacing, the provisions set out in this document.
1. Data Controller
Seetalabs® is a registered European trademark used in the exercise of the professional activity of:
Massimiliano Vurro
Self-employed professional (natural person)
Italian VAT Number: IT08197450011
Address: Turin, Italy
Privacy contact email: info@seetalabs.com
No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed, as the processing activities do not fall within the mandatory designation cases set out in Article 37 of the GDPR.
2. Categories of Data Processed
2.1 Browsing data
The computer systems and software procedures operating the Website and its subdomains acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. Such data includes: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, domain name and web addresses from which access is made, time of the request, method used to submit the request to the server, size of the response file, numerical code indicating the server response status.
This data is used exclusively in aggregate and anonymous form for statistical and security purposes and is deleted immediately after processing. The same principles apply to browsing data collected through subdomains operated by the Controller, unless specific additional information is made available within the relevant service.
2.2 Data voluntarily provided via the contact form
Users may provide personal data by filling in the contact form available on the “Contact” page. The data collected includes: first name, last name, email address, organisation, and free-text message. Submission of such data is necessary to respond to the request.
2.3 Data collected through newsletter subscription
The Website’s footer hosts a newsletter subscription form. The data collected consists solely of the email address. Subscription is voluntary and requires express consent via checkbox. Users may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email.
2.4 Data collected through the RONIN AI platform
Access to the RONIN AI operational platform (ai.seetalabs.com) requires authentication credentials issued under the Seetalabs Customer Agreement. Personal data processed in this context is limited to information strictly necessary to authenticate users, manage access to the platform, provide technical support and ensure operational security (e.g. username, email address, log and audit data). Diagnostic data relating to electrical equipment (such as DGA analyses, oil quality records, operational history) uploaded by customers generally does not qualify as personal data; where such data is associated with identifiable individuals, processing is carried out in accordance with the roles and instructions set out in the Seetalabs Customer Agreement. Further operational details are provided in the supplementary notice accessible within the platform.
2.5 Cookies and similar technologies
The Website uses technical cookies and, subject to user consent, statistical and third-party cookies. Details are provided in the Cookie Policy section below.

4. Processing Methods
Data is processed using electronic and telematic tools, following logic strictly related to the purposes set out above and in such a way as to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data. Data is processed exclusively by the Controller and, where necessary, by external parties appointed as Data Processors pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR.
Seetalabs operates as a distributed network of professionals. External collaborators involved in specific projects are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations and do not process data collected via the Website or its subdomains, except to follow up on enquiries addressed to Seetalabs by the user or to provide contractually agreed services.
5. Data Retention
- Browsing data: deleted immediately after processing; system logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes.
- Contact form data: retained for the time strictly necessary to respond to the request and, in any case, no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a contractual relationship is established.
- Newsletter data: retained until the data subject withdraws consent via unsubscription. In case of prolonged inactivity (over 24 months without interactions), the subscription may be cancelled by the Controller.
- RONIN AI platform access data: authentication credentials and access logs are retained for the duration of the contractual relationship governed by the Seetalabs Customer Agreement and, for security and audit purposes, for a maximum of 12 months after termination of the account. Specific retention periods for operational and diagnostic data are defined in the supplementary notice available within the platform.
- Data related to contractual relationships (Seetalabs Customer Agreement): retained for 10 years pursuant to Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code and Italian tax legislation (Art. 19 Presidential Decree 600/1973 on professional accounting records).
- Aggregate statistical data (Google Analytics 4): retained according to the GA4 property settings, with a maximum retention of 14 months.
- Cookie consent records: retained for 12 months from the date consent was given.
6. Data Recipients and Transfers Outside the EU
Personal data may be disclosed to the following recipients, appointed as Data Processors pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR where applicable:
- Website hosting provider: for the storage of data necessary for the operation of the Website. Servers located within the European Union.
- Brevo SAS (registered office in France, 7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris): for newsletter management, delivery of email communications and tracking of opens. Processing takes place entirely within the European Union. Privacy notice: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC: for Google Analytics 4 (statistical analysis), Google Fonts (typographic rendering), YouTube (embedded video), and Google reCAPTCHA (form spam protection, where active).
- Cloud and infrastructure providers of the RONIN AI platform: for hosting, storage and execution of the platform’s services. Further information, including the identity of sub-processors, is available in the supplementary notice accessible within the platform and in the Seetalabs Customer Agreement.
- Professional collaborators within the Seetalabs network, strictly to the extent necessary to fulfil contractual enquiries or services, subject to confidentiality obligations.
Transfers to third countries: some providers (in particular Google LLC) are established in the United States of America. Transfers are based on:
- European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 regarding the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Google LLC is certified under this framework);
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as an additional safeguard.
Data managed via Brevo is processed entirely within the European Union. Users may request copies of the aforementioned safeguards by writing to the Controller’s email address.
7. Rights of the Data Subject
Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to:
- Access their personal data and information relating to the processing;
- Rectification of inaccurate data and integration of incomplete data;
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of data in the cases provided for in Article 17 GDPR;
- Restriction of processing in the cases provided for in Article 18 GDPR;
- Data portability in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format;
- Object to processing for reasons relating to their particular situation;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal; for the newsletter, withdrawal may be exercised via the unsubscribe link included in every communication;
- Lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with another competent supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, the data subject may write to info@seetalabs.com. A response will be provided within one month of receipt of the request.
8. Nature of Data Provision
The provision of browsing data is necessary for use of the Website and its subdomains. The provision of data through the contact form is optional, but failure to provide it makes it impossible to respond to the enquiry. The provision of an email address for newsletter subscription is voluntary; failure to provide it simply means that communications cannot be delivered. Consent to processing for statistical purposes and for playback of embedded video is optional; refusal does not affect browsing of the Website. The provision of authentication data for the RONIN AI platform is necessary to access the service; failure to provide it makes access to the platform impossible.
9. Automated Decision-Making
The Controller does not carry out on this Website any processing based on automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR. The RONIN AI operational platform (ai.seetalabs.com) employs artificial intelligence algorithms to calculate a transformer health index based on technical data relating to electrical equipment supplied by customers. Such processing does not produce legal effects concerning natural persons, nor does it significantly affect them in a similar way, as defined in Article 22.1 GDPR.
10. Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user’s device to record information about browsing. This Website uses first-party and third-party cookies, classified into the categories below pursuant to the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021.

Independent data controller: Google Ireland Limited. Privacy notice: policies.google.com/privacy
10.3 Third-party cookies – Embedded video (consent required)
The Website embeds video content hosted by YouTube (Google LLC). On playback or player loading, YouTube may install its own cookies for statistical and user experience purposes.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy notice |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube (Google) | Playback of embedded video within Website pages | Google Privacy Policy |
Tracking may be reduced by enabling YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) or by blocking third-party cookies from the browser settings.
10.4 Third-party cookies – Fonts and rendering
| Service | Purpose | Privacy notice |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Loading of the Website’s typographic fonts | Google Privacy Policy |
10.5 Google Consent Mode v2
The Website implements Google Consent Mode v2, a mechanism that dynamically adapts the behaviour of Google tags to the user’s consent status. Where consent to statistics has not been given, Google receives only anonymous signals without personal identifiers (known as cookieless pings), used exclusively for aggregate statistical modelling.
10.6 Managing and withdrawing consent
Users may modify their preferences at any time by clicking the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the Website’s footer, which reopens the consent management panel.
Alternatively, cookies may be disabled directly from the browser settings. Please note that disabling technical cookies may compromise the proper functioning of the Website.
11. Data Security
The Website and the RONIN AI platform adopt technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including: HTTPS connection with TLS certificate, constant software updates, periodic backups, protected administrative access, web application firewall, and logical separation of environments between the corporate website and the operational platform ai.seetalabs.com, which remain hosted on distinct infrastructure for security and performance reasons.
12. RONIN AI Platform (ai.seetalabs.com)
The RONIN AI operational platform, accessible via the subdomain ai.seetalabs.com, is a restricted-access system requiring login credentials and governed by the Seetalabs Customer Agreement (SCA). Access is reserved to customers and authorised users. The processing of personal data performed through the platform falls within the scope of this Privacy Policy. Given the specific nature of the services provided — including the processing of diagnostic data (DGA, oil quality, operational history) relating to electrical equipment uploaded by customers — supplementary information on technical processing activities, retention periods for operational data, sub-processors and the roles of the parties under the SCA is made available within the platform itself and integrates, without replacing, the provisions set out in this document.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
The Controller reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time to adapt it to regulatory developments or changes in the services offered. Changes take effect from the moment they are published on the Website. Users are invited to consult this page periodically. The date of the latest update is indicated at the top of the document.
